BRIDGE
An industry forum dedicated to bringing academic research closer to insurance practice
A consortium of industry experts advocating for better application of research within the market.
BRIDGE (Bringing Research into Insurance Decisions, Guidance and Execution) is a Maximum Information-led initiative designed to strengthen connections between academic research, scientific application and industry practice. The group meets monthly to present and discuss academic papers and industry shifts with the aim of understanding key research outcomes and exploring how these insights can be translated into accessible, industry-relevant metrics.
Membership is open to reinsurance catastrophe risk specialists from the Lloyd's market. Participants are expected to actively contribute ideas and engage in discussion and debate around the presented topics, under the Chatham House Rule.
The goal is to provide a forum for translating cutting-edge scientific research into practical applications within the insurance industry, thereby fostering innovation, enhancing risk understanding, and elevating industry standards.
The group is chaired by Valentina Noacco, Chief Uncertainty Officer at Maximum Information, with presenters varying each month.
